CID Presents – 2.3.22 Riviera Cancún Statement

On January 31, 2022 the CDC modified its travel advisory pertaining to Mexico, which is now at a Level 4. Please note that this updated advisory relates to the entire country of Mexico, not just the state of Quintana Roo, where cases remain lower than the country as a whole and lower than they are currently in the USA.  To that end, Quintana Roo has announced its intent to downgrade from Orange to Yellow for epidemiological risk effective Monday, February 7th, indicating a steady decrease in COVID-19 exposure threat and caseload. CID Presents & Moon Palace have assurances from all local governments that our remaining events may take place safely in the same manner as our most recent successful gatherings hosted in January: Crash My Playa and Hootiefest: The Big Splash. CID Presents credits this success to stringent on-site guidelines, including a fully vaccinated staff, the use of masks in indoor spaces, and an expanded open-air venue footprint which allows for social distancing. Other events in the area such as Wilco’s Sky Blue Sky, Widespread Panic’s Panic en la Playa Diez, Avett Brothers at the Beach and Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend have also had great events in Quintana Roo throughout the month of January and February and we plan to further this with our remaining shows. Please also keep in mind that for each of the upcoming CID Presents events, all event staff, as well as your fellow concert-goers, will be fully-vaccinated and will have PCR-tested prior to arrival. Additionally, all Moon Palace employees are fully vaccinated.

CID Presents, Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds, and Palace Resorts remain committed to producing experiences that are as safe as they are enjoyable. While we hope you keep your vacation intact, we understand some of you may want to alter your plans. Lead guests may take action on behalf of their entire group and request a package refund by clicking here and contacting CID Presents Guest Services before 10AM EST on February 7th. We will not be accepting requests after this deadline. Please understand that the brevity of this request period allows our teams to plan accordingly with the band and the resort so that we may deliver an incredible event and experience for the fans still planning on attending. We greatly appreciate you and your understanding. Our event and resort teams are hard at work preparing for your arrival, and we can’t wait for you to see our reimagined beachfront venue in a few short weeks.
